I’m going to put this post in my queue a couple of times over the next few days so everyone who follows knows.
The Dark Knight Rises has been out for almost three weeks (or almost 21 days, if you want to see a bigger number there). At this point, spoilers abound all over the internet, including on Tumblr. I’ve even seen major news networks dropping spoilers. There’s lots of stuff I would like to repost here, and some of it can’t go under a cut because of the format (pictures, gifs and such). Therefore, starting Friday, I will no longer be putting spoiler-y images under a cut. Plot spoilers will still go under a cut, but fanart and gifs that don’t really give much away will be reblogged barefaced.
In addition, it will no longer be considered a spoiler to say that Miranda Tate = Talia…. starting right now. Everyone knew it months before the movie came out. It’s all over the internet now. The Talia tag is mostly TDKR stuff right now and has been for weeks. As of now, it will no longer be considered a spoiler on this blog to say that Nolanverse Talia and Bane have a very different relationship than they do in the comics — the exact nature of that relationship is debatable, but at this point, I don’t think there’s really any use in keeping the fact that they’re affiliated with each other a secret.
I realize that not everyone has seen the film. For those people who don’t wish to see this stuff, I will still be tagging the spoiler-y posts with “The Dark Knight Rises spoilers”, “TDKR spoilers” and “spoilers,” so that Tumblr savior and similar apps can keep your eyes free from spoilers. I will also be tagging these images (and other things) with “Nolanverse” for those who don’t want to see Nolan Talia.
I apologize for any inconvenience this may possibly cause. But there’s some great art going on, and I would be remiss if I didn’t start fielding some of it this way. I’ve been building a draft queue of TDKR-related fanart since it started appearing on Tumblr…. approximately 5 hours after the movie was released. I’ll be very happy to finally click “publish” on these.
Now for some lovey-dovey stuff:
New followers, welcome. I know a lot of you are here because of the movie, and some of you don’t know much about Talia beyond the movie. I invite you to poke around on here to get to know comics Talia a bit. While she’s quite different from Miranda, I’m sure you’ll find that she kicks ass. I’m actually making a Miranda vs. Talia post as a resource for new fans, and it will go up by the end of the week.
Old followers, thanks for hanging in there with me. You guys have helped me so much in keeping this fanblog up and running. I love chatting with you all and reading the opinions of so many other Talia fans.
Everyone, thanks for being patient with this blog during all the revamping and during TDKR madness.

Earlier I saw a comment from an interview with Lindy Hemming, the costume designer for TDKR, in which she mentioned a scene that didn’t make it to the final cut in which we see Bane tortured. I can’t find the post via tags or the link now. Does anyone have it? I would so love to post it here.
